Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to participants of CIS economic forum
President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to participants of the CIS international economic forum “Present-Day Challenges and Integration Development Prospects in the Commonwealth”.
The President noted that this forum brings together top officials and experts representing most important economic sectors. The forum covers the most relevant matters related to integration on the post-Soviet space, including promotion of free trade, raising investments, formation of stable financial markets.
“This is a unique communication platform helping to overcome barriers on the way to economic integration on the post-Soviet space, providing an opportunity to discuss promising projects in manufacturing cooperation,” the greeting message reads.
“In the year of its presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States the Republic of Belarus will strive to unite efforts of all the stakeholders to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economy and innovations, inter-sector and manufacturing cooperation, to improve the access to environmentally friendly technologies in the CIS member states with a view to giving an additional impetus to sustainable development of national economies and enhancing the capacities of the Commonwealth,” the President of Belarus underlined.
In this connection, Aleksandr Lukashenko expects the participants of the forum to hold a meaningful discussion about plans and prospects of economic cooperation, and voice their ideas regarding implementation of joint projects across the entire economic spectrum.
“I am convinced that the decisions and recommendations to be adopted at the forum will aim to improve mutual understanding and enhance the well-being of our peoples,” the Belarusian head of state added.
