Aleksandr Lukashenko sends condolences to Gavriil Vashchenko’s family

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolences to the family and colleagues of People’s Artist of Belarus Gavriil Vashchenko.

“Gavriil Vashchenko is one of the greatest Belarusian artists of the 20^th century who left an imprint on the Belarusian culture. His paintings are full of deep philosophical meaning. They present a shrewdly lyrical view of the world and became the genuine artistic chronicle of Belarus. His great talent and fruitful work for the benefit of the Motherland have brought him respect and recognition of thousands of people,” the message of condolences reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the traditions promoted by Gavriil Vashchenko will be continued by his students and new generations of Belarusian artists who will take Gavriil Vashchenko’s life and personality as an example of great devotion to the work.
