Aleksandr Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

“Your Holiness is an example of genuine selfless devotion, commitment to the chosen path and pastoral duty. Under your holy leadership the Orthodox Church is doing its utmost to expand opportunities for the fulfillment of its noble mission through propagating eternal verities and everlasting moral values, being involved in social service and charity, partaking in the education and enlightenment of the coming generation,” the felicitation message reads.

“Your recent visit to our country has become another testimony to your friendly support of Belarus. With great pleasure I recall our meeting and assure you that you will always be a dear and welcome guest in the Belarusian soil,” the head of state noted.
