Aleksandr Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to Hero of Soviet Union Valentina Tereshkova

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to pilot-cosmonaut Hero of Soviet Union Valentina Tereshkova.

“The flight of the first female cosmonaut was one of the brightest pages in the history of space exploration. Thanks to the strength of spirit and perseverance in achieving your goals, you have great authority and respect among your colleagues and millions of people all over the world,” the felicitation message reads.

“Today you take an active part in the social, political, and cultural life of your country. We appreciate your versatile activities helping to develop and enhance the Belarusian-Russian friendship and cooperation,” the head of state remarked.
