Aleksandr Lukashenko sends birthday greeting to Metropolitan Filaret

You were one of the founders of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, you have done a lot for the restoration and development of its institutions, strengthening of relations between the state and church in such fields as morality, healthcare, education, charity and social work,” the felicitation message reads.
“Today you remain an example of a church and social activist who takes care of Belarus’ spiritual revival, preservation of culture, enhancement of interfaith peace and accord,” the head of state remarked.
“Let your wisdom, experience and prayers help people find reliable guidance in life in the future,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
