Aleksandr Lukashenko sends anniversary greetings to Leonid Shchemelev

President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter of anniversary greetings to People’s Artist of Belarus Leonid Shchemelev.

“Your creative work is a chronicle of the era. Bright talent and unique manner allowed you to become one of the most famous Belarusian painters, win recognition far beyond the country’s borders,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state believes the fact that Leonid Shchemelev presented a collection of his paintings to the city of Minsk is the deed of a genuine patriot. The President remarked that nowadays the Leonid Shchemelev Gallery is one of the centers of cultural life of the city.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Leonid Shchemelev long life and creative success, health and well-being. “May your example inspire the youth to selflessly serve the Belarusian art,” the President stressed.
