Aleksandr Lukashenko receives Independence Day greetings from foreign leaders

    Foreign leaders, famous public and political figures are sending greetings to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Belarusian people on the occasion of the Independence Day and the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders.

    Messages of felicitation have been sent by the heads of state of the CIS countries, the President of China, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the King of Saudi Arabia, leaders of countries of Europe, Asia, and also political and public figures.
    The Independence Day greetings have been sent by Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill, Pope Francis and Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta Fra’ Matthew Festing.

    “Relations between our countries have been developing dynamically, relying on the centuries-old traditions of friendship, alliance and mutual assistance. Strong Russian-Belarusian ties serve as the basis for the cooperation in the CIS, which is advancing to a brand new level thanks to the signing of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. I am sure that, together, we will ensure the successful implementation of this vital project,” reads a message of felicitation from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

    In his message President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping noted that he pays great attention to the development of the Chinese-Belarusian relations and intends to maintain good business relations, to strengthen friendship with Belarus and make joint efforts to promote the relations to a new level.
