“It is deeply symbolic that this holiday is celebrated on the day when Belarus was liberated from Nazi invaders. Many centuries of brotherly ties and alliance that have stood the test of time remain a foundation of the successful partnership between Russia and Belarus. I am convinced that the implementation of the agreements reached at the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State held in Saint Petersburg in March will be instrumental in promoting the bilateral integration. I also believe that we will maintain constructive cooperation within the framework of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space with a view to establishing the Eurasian Economic Union in 2015,” reads a message of felicitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping noted in his message of felicitation that in recent years Belarus and China have strengthened political trust and achieved significant results in promoting bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, finances, science, defense, culture, as well as international and interregional ties.
