Aleksandr Lukashenko meets with Uralkali shareholder Suleiman Kerimov

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Suleiman Kerimov, member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Uralkali shareholder, to discuss prospects of Belarusian Potash Company and the situation at the global potassium market.

Aleksandr Lukashenko confirmed his view that the company should be developed and its influence should be enhanced.

“As we promised, we will follow this policy and we are absolutely open in this regard. I will never abandon the practice that has evolved and I will never act contrary to my promises,” the President stressed.

“Our company enjoys the strongest respect in the world. The Chinese, Brazilians, Indians talk only in positive terms about us on the potash market. It is obvious that if they do not like anything, particularly, prices for our commodities, then they treat us with respect and we should preserve this respect,” the head of state said.

Suleiman Kerimov, in turn, said that he intends to continue joint work.
