Aleksandr Lukashenko meets with Belarusian biathlete Darya Domracheva

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with leader of the Belarusian national biathlon team Darya Domracheva on 23 February.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Darya Domracheva on a gold medal she took at the recently completed 2013 IBU World Championships.

    The head of state and the athlete talked over the issues related to development of biathlon. The Belarusian leader heard out the athlete’s view point of the current situation in this sport.

    The President expressed concerns over the situation in the Belarusian biathlon in general and the national biathlon team in particular.

    The head of state took a decision in this respect to involve well-known biathlete Olympic champion Sergei Bulygin in assisting the coaching staff to complete the current season and prepare for the Olympic Games.
    The President asked Sergei Bulygin to put forward his instructions regarding the Belarusian biathlon development to the relevant officials and specialists.
