Aleksandr Lukashenko meets with Belarus’ Prosecutor General Alexander Konyuk

The detection rate of corruption crimes and crimes involving the turnover of narcotics has risen in Belarus. Prosecutor General of Belarus Alexander Konyuk delivered the relevant report to Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 12 May.

According to the Prosecutor General, despite the increase in the detection rate of grave crimes instead of the worsening crime situation the facts testify to the more efforts that law enforcement agencies put into fighting corruption and the illegal turnover of narcotics.

Apart from that, the President was also informed about the fulfillment of instructions regarding the streamlining of the operation of the prosecution service, in particular, the liquidation of military prosecution and the re-organization of transport prosecution.
