Aleksandr Lukashenko holds working meeting with Boris Batura
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko held a working meeting with Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Chairman Boris Batura on 8 April.
The head of state was informed about the flooding situation in Minsk Oblast. According to the governor, flooding is expected in Borisov District, Molodechno District, Pukhovichi District, and Stolbtsy District. However, no emergencies are forecast, including thanks to the construction of flood controls.
Aleksandr Lukashenko gave instructions to take measures to prevent the flooding or residential buildings and household plots.
The meeting also touched upon ways to carry out the sowing campaign within a short time. Boris Batura assured that Minsk Oblast was ready for it and sowing will start as soon as it becomes possible.
Apart from that, Aleksandr Lukashenko approved the proposed reconstruction of the motorway Minsk-Slutsk-Mikashevichi. The project is designed to upgrade the road up to the first class. The President was also informed about the implementation of several other investment projects.
The head of state drew attention to cleanup measures in populated localities. He said he wanted the process to involve not only major cities and district capitals but also small rural settlements.
