Aleksandr Lukashenko gives interview to Reuters news agency

    President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko granted an interview to Reuters, a major international news agency, on 26 November.

    The interview lasted for over 1.5 hours. The head of state was asked about 20 questions, the majority being about the social and economic development of the country, the modernization and possible privatization of Belarusian enterprises. Aleksandr Lukashenko also answered questions regarding the improvement of Belarus’ political system, the promotion of democracy, questions about the foreign policy, mutual relations with the European Union and Russia.

    The news agency Reuters was founded by Paul Reuter, an immigrant from Germany, in London in 1851. Reuters has offices and representations in over 100 countries across the globe.
