Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave an exclusive interview to Bloomberg (USA) on 31 March.
The President answered a number of questions concerning the regulation of the situation in Ukraine after the Normandy Four meeting in Minsk.
"What is most disturbing is that the United States was not openly involved in the process. I believe that without the Americans no stability is possible in Ukraine. When meeting recently with representatives of the United States of America, the official representatives who visited us, I strongly conveyed my view to them by saying that I do not know what the Americans want here, in Eastern Europe, particularly in Ukraine, but if they want peace and stability they should immediately engage in that process," the Belarusian head of state said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke about the role of leading global players in the regulation of the Ukrainian situation and the maintenance of the military and political stability in the world in general.
The interview also focused on the development prospects of the Eurasian Economic Union, the currency integration among its members.
The head of state expressed his opinion about certain aspects of the current economic, internal political situation, including in the context of the forthcoming important political events in the country.
