Aleksandr Lukashenko extends greetings to participants of Orthodox-Catholic Forum

Greetings to the participants of the 4th European Orthodox-Catholic Forum “Religion and cultural pluralism: challenges for Christian churches in Europe”

    Dear participants of the forum,

Accept my cordial greetings on the opening of the 4th European Orthodox-Catholic Forum “Religion and cultural pluralism: challenges for Christian churches in Europe”.

Today the preservation of moral basics and traditional values is especially important for the European society. Therefore, this year’s forum will address such significant issues as the development of inter-confessional dialogue, ways to promote the mission of Christianity in the modern world.

It is symbolic that the conference of bishops takes place in Belarus where representatives of different nationalities and religious denominations live in peace and harmony. Belarus cherishes historical traditions of tolerance and cultural cooperation.

I am convinced that the forum will make a serious contribution to the spiritual unity of nations, will promote consolidation of efforts to find solutions to modern challenges.

I sincerely wish strong health, productive work, every success and wellbeing to the participants of the forum.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko
