Officers and soldiers displayed tenacity and courage, remained faithful to their military oath and duty for almost ten years. This war, like many other combat operations in hot spots all over the world, brought huge sorrow to Belarusian families. Today we share the pain of fathers and mothers, widows and children of those who died in the zones of local conflicts,” the message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that our compatriots selflessly fought against international terrorism, continued military traditions of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and found eternal glory. “Belarus will always pay a tribute of respect to the generation of soldiers-internationalists,” the President emphasized.
