Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulates Russian Resident on Belarus-Russia Day of Unity
Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.
“The rightness of our eagerness to unite and overall enhancement of integration processes have stood the test of time. Today the achievements of the Union State are obvious. Splendid results of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation in all areas promote the wellbeing of peoples,” the message of greetings reads.
The Belarusian head of state expressed confidence that Vladimir Putin’s commitment to closer relations will encourage integration in the best interests of the peoples of Belarus and Russia.
Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, Chairman of Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. “Active intergovernmental dialogue contributes to the strengthening of integration between the two countries. Steady increase in the trade turnover, successful implementation of joint projects in science and innovations, creation of conditions needed to ensure equal rights of citizens are major achievements of the Union State,” the Belarusian President remarked.
Aleksandr Lukashenko has also sent greetings to Chairperson of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Sergei Naryshkin, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, politicians and public figures.
