Aleksandr Lukashenko awards members of Belarusian Union of Afghanistan War Veterans
President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko presented state awards to heads of regional organizations of the Belarusian Union of Afghanistan War Veterans in recognition of their vigorous social activities and a big personal contribution to the development of the Afghanistan war veterans’ movement. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of state on 4 February.
The Orders of Honor were conferred on chairman of the Grodno Oblast organization of the public association Alexander Vitko and chairman of the Brest city organization Sergei Pukhalsky.
The medals for excellent labor were given to chairman of the Borisov town organization Vasily Barannik, chairman of the Bobruisk town organization Valery Lebedenko, chairman of the Ivye District organization Stepan Stanilko, chairman of the association of disabled soldiers of the war in Afghanistan Sergei Krasovsky.
The President also signed the executive order in which he officially thanked chairman of the Gorodok District organization Viktor Kamyshov and chairman of the Zhlobin town organization Sergei Savchenko in recognition of a big personal input in the establishment and development of veterans’ organizations, a big role in the patriotic education of the youth and social protection of war veterans.
