Education in Culture and Arts
There is a three-tier system of professional training in culture and arts in Belarus. It includes 405 children’s art schools, 20 post-secondary vocational education schools, and three institutions of higher learning – the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, the Belarusian State Academy of Music, and the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.
In 2019, there were over 10,000 students and almost 2,500 applicants at Belarusian second- and third-tire educational institutions of culture and arts.
More than 250 students of these educational institutions received awards at various national and international art competitions in 2019. For example, the Belarusian team took part in the 14th Delphic Games of the CIS Member States and won five medals (one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals).
