State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus

The State Secretariat of the Security Council is a body of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus. The Security Council is a supreme constitutional collegial and political coordination authority that implements the President’s decisions in the field of national security.
Main tasks
- to provide information and analysis, as well as legal, organizational and technical support for activities of the President and the Security Council in the field of national security, including in the fields concerning the utilization of tools and means of ensuring national security, to develop cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and foreign countries in international security;
- to prepare and submit draft resolutions on national security to the President and the Security Council, and to supervise their implementation;
- to coordinate activities of government authorities in drafting and implementing national security resolutions, to develop and specify legal acts and other documents in the field of national security.
The State Secretariat of the Security Council operates interdepartmental commissions at the Security Council, including commissions on economic security, protection of state secrets, military and technical cooperation, export control, information security.
