Security Service of the President of the Republic of Belarus

General information

The Security Service of the President was created on the basis of the security department and the Alpha team of the State Security Committee as well as the Central Office for State Guard of the Internal Affairs Ministry by a special presidential decree on 25 October 1994.

Main tasks

• to ensure the security of top Belarusian government officials, heads of state and heads of government of foreign nations during their stay in Belarus, to ensure the security of other protected individuals;
• to ensure the security of guarded installations and facilities.
