Meeting with Russia’s Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov

On 30 August 2000 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation faction in the State Duma, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) Gennady Zyuganov. The conversation focused on problems of establishment and development of the Belarusian-Russian union. The Belarusian president and the KPRF leader discussed matters concerning the invigoration of integration processes and the basic rights of citizens of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
