Meeting with creative intellectuals of Belarus

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with creative intellectuals on 24 November 1995. In his speech the head of state dwelled on the current situation in the art world. “The life is difficult today, your life is difficult, the country’s government is also facing difficulties. However, we are stepping back from the abyss little by little, the financial system has been stabilized in the country, its international authority has been improving,” Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked.

On behalf of the organizers of the festival Zolotoy Vityaz (The Golden Knight), renowned actor Nikolai Yeremenko presented the prize with the same name to Aleksandr Lukashenko in recognition of his invaluable contribution to the promotion of Slavonic culture.
