Belarus' most important development targets for 2025 approved
On 1 October, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 384 to approve the most important forecast parameters for the country's development for 2025. The document maintains the focus of economic policy aimed to ensure the stability of the economy and improve the well-being of people.
Gross domestic product is projected to increase by 4.1% thanks to three related programs: production, export and investment.
The decree also sets the targets for their implementation. It is expected that the export of goods and services will go up by 5.4% mainly due to an increase in physical sales volumes). It is planned to invest 7.8% more in the economy in 2025 than this year.
Successful implementation of production and investment plans will ensure the growth of real disposable incomes of the population by 4%.The policy of price containment will remain in place. To this end, a target is set for the National Bank and the government to keep the inflation under 5%.
The decree instructs the government to approve a plan for social and economic development, which will be a key tool for achieving the most important parameters. An exhaustive list of key indicators will be determined to assess the effectiveness of the work of state organizations.
