Participation in the 2nd Congress of the Belarusian Patriotic Youth Union

On 25 April 2000 Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in the 2nd Congress of the Belarusian Patriotic Youth Union. The forum brought together more than 600 delegates from all regions of the country. Representatives of about 30 countries attended the event. In his speech, the head of state said that the Youth Union had successfully developed and proven itself as the biggest youth organization in Belarus. Touching upon many problems of the youth movement and the tasks facing the Belarusian Patriotic Youth Union, the president stressed that the organization should strive to achieve meaningful and appreciable results.
