The telephone conversation between President of the
Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of the Russian Federation
Vladimir Putin took place on 23 January.
The heads of state discussed a wide range of issues on the international and bilateral agenda. In particular, the presidents of Belarus and Russia discussed the oncoming meeting which is expected to take place in the near future. Besides, there will a meeting between the prime ministers of the two countries.
On 23 January the sides decided to hold the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State at the beginning of March.
Apart from that, the presidents agreed to join efforts to resolve economic issues.
