Meeting with representatives of Belarus President Administration, government

After a videoconference meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a meeting with representatives of the government and the President Administration.

One of the topics was the agreements reached during the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin early this week. This is, in particular, the work on joint projects on import substitution, military-technical cooperation. The issue of building a Belarusian port on the Russian Baltic Sea was also raised.

The President discussed Belarus’ visa waiver for citizens of Lithuania and Latvia that was extended until the end of 2022.

Aleksandr Lukashenko gave an instruction to remove travel barriers and restrictions for residents of these neighboring countries. The head of state decided to cancel the requirement to present the negative PCR test result while entering Belarus.

A reminder, taking into account positive feedback and numerous requests of foreign nationals, the Belarusian head of state decided to extend until 2023 the visa waiver for citizens of Lithuania and Latvia.
