Some regulations in construction industry revised
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed Decree No. 58 “On regulations in the construction industry”.
The document aims to stimulate business initiatives and activities in the construction industry, to facilitate regulations, and to reduce the terms of an investment cycle in the construction industry.
In particular, the Decree envisages the reduction of reserved funds which contractors must accumulate to eliminate drawbacks of construction works during a warranty period. These funds will make up 0.5% of construction costs instead of the former 1.5%.
In accordance with the document, it will be possible to commission facility of the fifth class of difficulty without a report of audit bodies on conformity with planning documentation, safety and operational reliability regulations. These facilities will include, for example, one-apartment and terraced houses with the height of up to 7 meters, household buildings, buildings and facilities for agricultural and ecological tourism, roads, power supply and communications lines.
The Council of Ministers will be authorized to determine the order of parallel planning and construction of objects.
