President attends celebrations marking Women's Day

Women are gifted with the great power of love and sympathy which changes the world, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he took part in the celebrations marking Women's Day on 7 March.

"With the first days of spring a wonderful holiday of women comes in our homes. There is a good tradition to connect this holiday with the honoring of mothers, deep respect of women, admiration of their beauty and cordiality. You inspire men to commit prominent deeds and reach new highs in various spheres of life," the President noted.

"You are gifted with the great power of love and sympathy which changes the world. Your spiritual warmth and concern support in difficult moments, restore faith and hope. And today we communicate cordial and sincere words to women," the head of state said.

"You are the keepers of family life and spiritual values which stood the test of time," President Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

The head of state thanked women for cordiality and patience, wisdom and understanding, inexhaustible kindness and ability to make the world joyous and happy.

The President also wished women happiness, peace, and family well-being.
