Economist Day greetings

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated employees and veterans of the Economy Ministry on the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the country’s economic bodies and on their professional holiday, Economist Day.

“The first pages of your history are connected with the State Planning Committee of the BSSR, a unique institution that, piece by piece, built up the economic activity of the young Soviet republic and laid a solid foundation for the stable socio-economic development of modern Belarus,” the message of congratulations reads.

The head of state emphasized that the economic sector today plays one of the key roles in ensuring a high-tech, competitive economy and maintaining national security. “It is precisely your professionalism that determines the qualitative transformation of the country’s appearance and the improvement of our citizens’ standard of living,” the President stressed. “I am convinced that you will continue to successfully solve the large-scale tasks of each five-year period and shape a competent strategy for the future.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the employees and veterans of the Belarusian Economy Ministry strong health, inexhaustible energy, and new achievements for the benefit of Belarus.
