Greetings on Day of Paratroopers and Special Operations Forces

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated active and retired personnel of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces on their professional holiday - Day of Paratroopers and Special Operations Forces.

    “For many generations, the famous Airborne Forces have been known for their incredible unity, fortitude and selfless devotion to the Fatherland. The ‘winged infantry’ has the most seasoned, resilient people in its ranks. During the Great Patriotic War and all local conflicts, paratroopers acted with great skill and determination, courage and personal bravery, coming out victorious from the most difficult situations,” the message of congratulations reads.

    The President noted that today’s servicemen of the special operations forces continue the glorious traditions laid down by their predecessors. Soldiers and officers firmly guard the security of the country and the peace of fellow citizens.

    “The paratroopers are rightfully considered the elite of the national Armed Forces, having earned the deserved love and respect of the people. I am convinced that you will continue to be a reliable shield, pride and glory of our land.”

    Aleksandr Lukashenko wished personnel and veterans of the special operations forces and their families happiness and well-being, good health and new successes in the noble cause of serving Belarus.
