Greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on the successful holding of the single election day.

“The unprecedented turnout of millions of voters and the constitutional majority won by the United Russia party in the State Duma stand as a worthy response to cynical outside attempts to discredit the campaign and split Russia’s united society,” the congratulatory message reads.

The Belarusian head of state noted that the results speak volumes about Russians’ support for the course Vladimir Putin has charted: steady development, a nation confident in its strength and open to partnership and cooperation. 

“I am convinced that the updated composition of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the elected senior officials of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, and deputies at all levels will make a significant contribution to Union State building and to the implementation of our ambitious integration agenda,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Vladimir Putin the fulfillment of all his good intentions for the glory of the Fatherland.
