Greetings to people of Cyprus

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the people of the Republic of Cyprus as the country celebrates Independence Day.

    The head of state noted that this holiday is a symbol of statehood and of the struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination.

    “Belarus respects your traditions and your striving for peace and wellbeing. Like Cypriots, we stand for the maintenance of international security, respect for the sovereignty and independence of countries, and the development of equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation,” the message of greetings reads.

    “I am convinced that the good relations between Belarusians and Cypriots, founded on friendship, will continue to contribute to strengthening trust and expanding strong contacts,” the President emphasized.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko wished every resident of Cyprus harmony, stability and prosperity.
