Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Statehood Day greetings to Croatia

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the people of Croatia as the country celebrates Statehood Day.

    “We are Slavonic peoples. We do differ, but we are very much alike. We are kind-hearted people with difficult history. We know what conflicts are, we remember the price that we have to pay for peace,” the message of greetings reads. “Belarusians and Croatians have gone through a lot protecting their right to live in their own home, on their soil. Difficult times have come again. The ability to listen and understand becomes especially important today.”

    The head of state expressed confidence that the peoples of Belarus and Croatia, who celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the states this year, are capable of doing that and will do their best to promote the prosperity of the two countries as well as the friendship and good ties between them.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Croatia peace, accord, and wellbeing.
