Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Georgia
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Georgia on Independence Day.
“The path to a modern Georgian state was very long. In the course of over a millennium this land saw heroic struggle and experienced periods of prosperity and hard trials. People living in this beautiful land have passed this way with honor, great courage and dignity,” the message reads. “Belarus has warm regards for Georgians who represent the richest culture, unique character and hospitality of their native land,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
During the years of sovereignty, Belarus and Georgia have made substantial progress in building economic, scientific and cultural contacts, and this cooperation has always been based on respect and trust.
“I am sure, having a long history of friendly relations, our peoples will be able to preserve and scale up the results of joint work in various areas of cooperation,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Georgia a peaceful sky, well-being and prosperity.
