Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulates Andras Baka on his election as President of Hungary

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Andras Baka on his election as President of Hungary. The Belarusian head of state wished his Hungarian counterpart success in this responsible position and wished the Hungarian people happiness and prosperity.

“I am confident that the vast historical experience and wisdom of the Hungarian people will continue to guide your country toward open and balanced engagement on the international stage, including with Belarus, which, like Hungary, occupies a special place in the heart of Europe at the crossroads of cultures and civilizations,” the message reads. “Minsk consistently proceeds from the understanding that an equal dialogue taking into account the national interests of both states is a solid foundation for truly fruitful cooperation.”

On behalf of the Belarusian people and personally, Aleksandr Lukashenko also congratulated the people and leadership of Hungary on the upcoming St. Stephen’s Day holiday.
