Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko inspected the renovated Traktor Stadium and the infrastructure of the October Revolution's 50th Anniversary Park in Minsk on 14 November.

Immediately upon arrival at the park, the President reminded the city authorities of the "debt", namely to complete the work at MotoVeloZavod. "This is very important. Because social facilities are good, but we need factories to earn money," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

Now equipment is being mounted at the plant. It is expected to come on stream in early 2025, the head of state was reported.

"Let's agree that we will speed things up a little and launch it by the time of the election. I think we will be able to do it in January," the President said.

He also urged to complete the construction of a MAZ bus plant and a national exhibition center in the next few months. "We need to make it a nice place. At the end of the year, we will determine quality excellence leaders. We will exhibit the best goods there," the head of state said.

The October Revolution's 50th Anniversary Park is the second largest in the Belarusian capital. Only Victory Park, which is located near Komsomolskoye Lake, is larger than it.

"This is an old park. I used to drive by it. I used to come here to work out at the stadium," Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “This is an old park, built for people. A people's park, a good park."

“People are happy with the park. We have installed children's playgrounds here,” Minsk Mayor Vladimir Kukharev said.

“It is very comfortable here. This place is for people. It is a people's park,” the head of state stressed.

Traktor Stadium is located in the park. Nearby there is almost complete national football stadium. “Big thanks to China and Xi Jinping for this gift. It is a very expensive gift,” the Belarusian leader said.

Traktor Stadium will be used as a training field and an arena for the Belarusian Premier League.

By the way, 14 November is the first day of operation of the renovated stadium and park. Aleksandr Lukashenko treats these facilities with special attention. First of all, as the President stressed, they have a long history and were built as a gift for the people. Secondly, a lot of money has been invested in the reconstruction.

The October Revolution's 50th Anniversary Park has been reconstructed this year. Particular attention during the renovation was paid to physical fitness facilities: courts for volleyball and mini-football, zones for streetball and skateboarding as well as workout areas featuring outdoor fitness equipment.

Aleksandr Lukashenko also got familiar with the specialized children and youth school of Olympic Reserve for artistic gymnastics and acrobatics located on the park grounds. The head of state was briefed on the improvement of Minsk in general and the development of sports infrastructure in the city.

At the stadium, the President talked to young players of the Minsk football club. Aleksandr Lukashenko told them how he used to play football in his youth and they, in turn, asked the head of state to sign the ball, which will definitely  occupy an honorable place in the museum of the club.
