Talks with Ukraine President Leonid Kuchma

Ukraine President Leonid Kuchma paid an official visit to Belarus at the invitation of President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 17-18 July 1995. The two leaders discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest. The Heads of State briefed each other on political and economic transformations in their countries, exchanged views on the development of Belarusian-Ukrainian relations and interaction in the international arena. The main outcome of the visit was the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation.
