Official visit to Libya

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko paid the first official visit to Libya on 31 October - 1 November 2000. The head of state held talks with the leader of this country, Muammar al-Gaddafi, met with the Secretary of the Libyan General Interim Committee for Defense, Abu-Bakr Yunis Jabr. Members of the Belarusian delegation met with heads of various ministries and agencies of Libya. As part of the visit the president also talked to mass media representatives.
