Aleksandr Lukashenko approves draft visa waiver agreement with Maldives

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a decree that approves the draft intergovernmental agreement with the Republic of Maldives on a mutual visa waiver as the basis for negotiations on 10 September.

    Under the agreement, citizens of the two countries will be able to enter, leave, and transit through the territory of the other party without visas, provided that their stay does not exceed 30 days from the date of entry (up to 90 days within a calendar year).

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to hold negotiations and sign the document.
