Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has heard out a report of Head of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate Viktor Sheiman. Top on the agenda were the state of things at companies affiliated with the directorate and cooperation with African countries.

“How are things going at these enterprises? Three quarters are over. What is the situation there and what is most alarming?” the head of state asked.

He noted that the directorate is in charge of a large number of various enterprises and organizations. “This is like a whole ministry,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The second point of the agenda was trade and economic cooperation with African countries, this area of work is supervised by Viktor Sheiman. “I see progress in the sales of equipment, though it is not so big. However, we have got started on the things we agreed on and planned. How are things on this front? What impedes the development of cooperation with African states?” Aleksandr Lukashenko asked.

The President emphasized that cooperation with African countries should be expanded. “These distant states are rich in natural resources. Maybe we will be able to extract something for ourselves there. Maybe we will offer them our products in exchange,” the head of state said.

According to Viktor Sheiman, regional banking organizations with which Belarus cooperates in Africa are gradually starting to finance joint projects. “This is great. Therefore, we will focus on this topic,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
