Report of President’s Special Envoy Viktor Sheiman

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko received a report from President’s Special Envoy Viktor Sheiman on 21 September.

The head of state was briefed on the implementation of a number of projects related to the real sector of the economy and the development of new high-tech areas. The President emphasized their importance and relevance for the country.

Another key focus of the report was advancing Belarus’ cooperation with African countries. Aleksandr Lukashenko inquired about the progress of this work, its momentum, and the issues that warranted priority attention.

The President confirmed strong interest in further consolidating Belarus’ positions in promising markets across Africa, where a number of footholds have already been found. “We will be taking an even closer look at Africa in the near future. You know what Africa means for any country. All the more so for ours,” he said.
