Condolence in view of demise of Hero of Socialist Labor, academician Nikolai Borisevich
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has offered his condolence to the family, friends and colleagues of the Hero of Socialist Labor, an honored worker of science of Belarus, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Nikolai Borisevich due to his demise.
The letter of condolence reads: “His entire life was an example of outstanding labor in the service of science and Belarus. Nikolai Borisevich has made possible the outstanding accomplishments of Belarusian science in the area of spectroscopy and luminescence, infrared technologies, laser physics. These efforts have been praised by the international community. His incessant work for the benefit of his country has been distinguished with state awards of the Republic of Belarus.”
The head of state pointed out that Nikolai Borisevich had the reputation as a talented researcher, a principled manager, a wise mentor, a well-intentioned and decent man. “His demise represents a huge loss for Belarusian science,” stressed the President.
