Commentary to Decree No. 113 of 4 March 2013
Prosecutor’s offices in a number of Belarusian towns will be united. President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed relevant Decree No. 113 “Concerning improvement of prosecution bodies” on 4 March.
Prosecutor’s offices of Orsha and the district, Polotsk and the district, Pinsk and the district, Baranovichi and the district will be merged. There are also plans to unite district prosecutor’s offices in Brest, Grodno, Vitebsk, Mogilev and Bobruisk.
The reorganization aims to optimize the structure and staff of relevant prosecution bodies by means of reducing the number of the administrative personnel, saving budget funds.
