Memorial ceremony for Grodno Governor Aleksandr Dubko

The memorial service for Chairman of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, Hero of Socialist Labor Aleksandr Dubko was held in Grodno on 7 February 2001. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko, senior officials of the government, the President Administration, the Parliament, local authorities, and thousands of Grodno residents came to pay their last respects. The head of state expressed deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke highly of Aleksandr Dubko's professional and personal qualities, his experience and ability to work with people.
