Belarus celebrates 75th anniversary of Vladimir Mulyavin’s birth
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent
greetings to the participants of the event dedicated to the 75th
anniversary of the birth of People’s Artist of the USSR and Belarus Vladimir
Mulyavin and congratulated everyone on this remarkable date.
“Vladimir Mulyavin was born in Russia, but he was the son of the Belarusian land in his heart and soul. The legendary band Pesnyary founded by Vladimir Mulyavin made our music famous and appreciated in the world, and today this band is by right considered one of the cultural symbols of Belarus,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state stressed that the creative work of Vladimir Mulyavin enriched the Belarusian popular singing with new themes, melodies and images, became the foundation for the formation of its own stylistics, inspired a number of talented musicians.
Alexander sincerely thanked those whose hard work helps preserve the memory of Vladimir Mulyavin and promote his music. The President expressed confidence that the celebration will add new pages to Vladimir Mulyavin’s legacy book and pay a tribute of respect the great singer.
