Aleksandr Lukashenko sends condolences over passing of Yuri Yakovlev

President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of People’s Artist of the USSR Yuri Yakovlev.

“People in Belarus appreciated Yuri Yakovlev as a person with huge talent and wonderful soul whose creative activities helped promote moral and esthetic ideals in the society, strengthen friendship and cultural ties between the fraternal nations. His passing is an irretrievable loss for art and for all of us,” the message of condolences reads.
