Aleksandr Lukashenko offers condolences over death of Vasily Peskov

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolences to the family and colleagues of the late Vasily Peskov, a journalist and winner of the Lenin Prize.

    “Being a human of an immense talent and inexhaustible creativity, Vasily Peskov left his imprint on Russian culture, ecology and journalism. In his numerous books, essays and TV programs he brought up pressing issues of relations between human beings and nature and problems of preserving Earth’s riches for present-day and future generations,” the message of condolences reads.

    “Fond memories of Vasily Peskov will be forever in our hearts,” the head of state noted.
