Aleksandr Lukashenko makes new appointments in Belarus’ judicial system
BelarusPresident Aleksandr Lukashenko has made several reshuffles in the judicial system. The head of state signed the relevant decree on 5 June.
Alexander Pautov and Vladimir Putsilo have been named judges of the Supreme Court with the following coordination of these appointments with the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Alexander Pautov and Vladimir Putsilo have been relieved from the positions of the Deputy Chairman and Judge of the Belarusian Military Courtand the Chairman and Judge of the Minsk City Court respectively.
Anatoly Fomenko has been appointed Chairman of the Vitebsk Military Court, Vasily Podolsky – Judge of the Bobruisk Military Court.
The personnel shake-up also covered a number of regional courts. The decree also altered the composition of the presidiums of the Mogilev Oblast and Belarusian Military Courts.
