Aleksandr Lukashenko hails Azarenka's victory in Doha

President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated member of the Belarusian national tennis team Victoria Azarenka on her stunning victory at the WTA tournament in Qatar.

"This bright and convincing victory over the best tennis players in the world proved once again that your success is not accidental luck but the result of great selfless work, strong sport character and irrepressible desire to the first in everything," the congratulatory message runs.

"I am convinced that great success is ahead of you at the most prestigious international tournaments where millions of devoted tennis fans will pronounce the word Belarus with respect," Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
